Trick or treat, smell my feet! Thought I'd give you a little "treat" today by sharing with all of you some of the fun Halloween themed cards I received during our card swap at Founder's Circle this past September. These were made by other talented demonstrators. Enjoy!
For today's digital scrapbook page, I want to honor my friend's (Rosie and Jo Ann's) MOM, who turned 90 YEARS YOUNG a few weeks ago. Doesn't she look AWESOME for her age?!? Rosie and Jo Ann have been so blessed. I hope they'll like this page as much as I enjoyed creating it for them.
That's right! It's not a trick, but it certainly is a TREAT! So, I hope you'll take full advantage of it!

You saw how I used our Window Sheets (#114323) to create the fun recycled containers the other day. I also love making unique cards such as the one below. Image sending a note to someone special made with a card such as this one. It's sure to make them feel even more special, don't you think? So much fun!
When stamping an image onto the Window Sheets you want to be sure to use the StazOn ink pad available in either Jet Black (#101406) or White (#106960).
Don't you just love our Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247), both as an accent attached directly on the Window Sheet as well as on the stamped ornament? It's the little detail, such as this that can really dress up your cards even further.

This past Saturday I reunited with friends whom I went to ELEMENTARY SCHOOL with in the 60's (yes, I know, I'm aging myself). I think it says alot for each of us. The fact that even after 50 years we still love each other enough to WANT to remain friends even though our lives, through the years, had gone in many different directions. Thank you So'o, Cindy and Gayle for your love and unconditional friendship, even after all these many, many, many years.
We spent the evening talking about great memories from the past, as well as making new memories that evening and vowed to each other that we will stay in touch and not let years separate us ever again.

I KNOW!!! RIGHT?!?!? So-o-o-o cool!!! This idea, I believe, was originated by Janet Baker, who's my second upline with Stampin' Up! and was shared by my direct upline, Jill Olsen, while at Founder's Circle last month. So, I've taken the concept and have come up with my own way of making these fun containers.
Visit my "Projects Year-Round" site for the FREE TUTORIAL on you to make what I'm calling, "Window Sheet Containers". You'll find it on the left sidebar of that page.
While you're there, be sure to check out the other free tutorials as well as those available for purchase. Have fun!
Sorry I haven't posted in a few days now. My husband had gotten sick and was hospitalized. He's home now and is doing good. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday, but being the "work-a-holic" that he is, is insisting that he "has to go back to work tomorrow". I prefer he just take it easy and take this whole week off and just start back on Monday, but looks like there's no stopping him.
So, I promise, for me too - I will be back to "work" with blogging amongst everything else I need to get caught up with. See you all back here again tomorrow. I've got something great I will be sharing. I promise not to disappoint! See you all back then!
By-the-way, have you "LIKED" "Stamping Year-Round" on Facebook yet? If not, I'd love for you to and when you do, be sure to click the drop down menu and to click on the add to your newsfeeds. Thanks!
My dear friends, who are sisters are hosting a big milestone celebration today for their Mom's 90th birthday! What a blessing! I was honored when they asked if I could make the invitations for a party they're throwing for her today.
Here's what I came up with using My Digital Studio 2. Simple, yet quite nice. I printed the front design which included a picture of their Mom from when she was younger along with the information about the party for the inside of the card onto Whisper White card stock straight from my computer. Then completed the card as shown.

If you think it's stunning in the pictures, you should see it in real life! This is going to be just one of 4 projects at my next live class on Sunday, October 28th. If you live in Southern California and would like to make this, contact me for information on how you can attend. (714) 220-1754 or linda@StampingYearRound.com You can also stay tuned. I'll be putting together a tutorial on how to make this. The plan is to have it available by the end of next week, at the latest.
Yes, the stamped and cutout image to make the base of the ornaments are from the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle, which includes the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp set and Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies. When purchased as a bundle, you safe 15%. These are also a part of Stampin' Up!'s October Special. You can CLICK HERE for my blog post with the full information about this special offer.
The other day I was looking at some pictures friends posted on Facebook of the beautiful colors of fall. Living in Southern California we pretty much have great weather year-round, which is what many of the people who live here love. But, I have to admit, when I see changes of seasons my friends post, like of the beautiful colors of fall, I kinda feel a little jealous.
Here's a card with my own "unrealistic" version of fall leaves. How do you like my glimmering leaf? It's made with our wonderful Champagne Glimmer Paper (127885), found in the 2012 Holiday Catalog.
You can CLICK HERE to order all your Stampin' Up! products online.
I also can't get enough of the Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock (127848) coupled with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821), which on the other hand gives a "realistic" look to the tree trunk. You can CLICK HERE to enter PROJECTS YEAR-ROUND where you can check out the "Core'dinations" tutorial for acheiving that look, as well as other free tutorials.
While you're at the PROJECTS YEAR-ROUND SITE, be sure to check out the online classes that are available. If you're a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd like to suggest the Clear-Mount Case Holiday Album Class. It would be a great class to offer your own customers, perfect to get ready for the holiday season. If you're not a demonstrator, you will still love this great online class / tutorial for yourself. What great, inexpensive, yet "made from the heart" gifts these would make.
If you'd like to purchase this NOW, just click on the PayPal button below. When you do, you will receive your very own PRIVATE LINK with step-by-step instructions so that you can start creating, within 24 hours of your purchase.
Don't throw those bags away - recycle! Go from this...
It's easy with the Daydream Medallions stamp set (w - 126465 c - 126467) and matching Daydream jumbo wheel (126939).
I stamped the wheel image, tone-on-tone with Midnight Muse onto two pieces of cardstock cut to the size of the bag. Then used Anywhere Glue Stick (104045) to attach them to the front and back of the bag. It's that easy!
Now it's your turn to help "protect the planet"! With Stampin' Up! products, such as the ones you see here, you too can do your part!
