Yes, I know... I've been slackin', but it's the holidays, so I'm entitled! Ha! Ha! Ahhh, the joys of having your own business!
Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas. Ours was one of the BEST EVER! It's tradition every year that we spend Christmas Eve at my cousin / BFF's (Helen) house with the whole family. All the kids anxiously await for midnight to arrive, because that's when they're allowed to start opening their gifts.
Well, last year my niece's husband, John, for the first time, dressed up as Santa for the kids. So, this year, my daughter's boyfriend, Mark called John and asked him to do it again. Only this time, it was with a twist! After calling some of the kids up, "Santa" decided to include a few of the adults. Well, when it was my older daughter's (Arlyn) turn, Mark followed. As she sat next to "Santa", Mark stood before her, got done on one knee and yes... You guessed it! PROPOSED!!! We were all sooooooo THRILLED!!!
The date hasn't been set yet, but you can bet I'll be doing the invitations, favors and anything else I can for their BIG DAY! Can't ask for a better man than Mark to be marrying my daughter! What a great way to end the year!

I'm still in awe over all the great products in the Clearance Rack and their unbelievable prices! One of the items that's still available are the Neutrals 5/8" Brads. They once sold for $6.95 (US) and are now ONLY $1.39 (US) for a containter of 32 pieces!
You get 8 each of Chocolate Chip, Silver, Whisper White and Very Vanilla. But, for what I'm about to show you, the colors won't really matter.
Here's a tutorial on how to cover the brads to create your own "custom design".
Start by punching out a circle using the 1" Circle Punch (119868) out of your Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Spritz lightly with plain water.
Making it moist will help to make it more pliable and easier to mold around the brad, as shown here.
Work it, tucking it in, toward the bottom side of your brad. When you're done, here's what the front will look like. Allow to dry and there you have it...
This sample show the brad both "el neutral" as well as one covered.
In this tutorial and sample I used the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper, also currently in the Clearance Rack. It once sold for $12.95 (US) , but is now just $5.19 (US). Can you believe those prices?!? Again, you need to ACT FAST, because once an item sells out, they'll no longer be available. A real good example is the fabric used to make the above flower. It was one of the fabrics that sold for just 99 cents, in the Clearance Rack and is now no longer available. However, there are still other fabric for just 99 cents, so you'll want to be sure to go check them out as well.

...is another one of my favorites that's in the Clearance Rack. Currently, it is still there although, once again, you'll want to ACT FAST if you'd like to purchase this item. How could you not want to get this awesome punch?
Just take a look at these lovely cards that were made using it.

Stamping on "30-to-a-sheet address labels" makes it quick and easy to wrap lots of nuggets in no time! Although the "Thank You" stamp above is no longer available, any stamp will do. Use the White StazOn Ink Pad to stamp a permanent image onto the Window Sheets. When purchasing the White StazOn, you get both the pad and bottle of ink (106960).

You won't believe the items that are there! There are so-o-o-o many wonderful things. But, the one items that had been one of my all time favorites is the Box #2 Bigz XL Die.
Honestly, when it was first announced that this die was "retiring", quite a while back I was really sad. But now, there it is again and at such a GREAT DEAL! Can you believe it? It originally sold for $34.95 and now you can get it for ONLY $13.99!!! And, that's just ONE OF HUNDREDS OF GREAT DEALS!!!
I'm going to "revisit" a sample I showed a while ago made with this die. Look at this fun way to give treats, such as these small peanut butter cups from Costco. There are all kinds of items you'll be able to fit into these fun boxes.

We all love Happy Hour, don't we? Well, here's a Happy Hour of a different kind. Don't you love the designs of the Happy Hour stamp set, shown here?
It's a great "all occasions" type of a stamp set. Here's a quick and easy card that not just covers Christmas, but a wish for a Happy New Year, as well.

Happy 12-12-12 everybody! Where have the days been going?!? I totally "forgot" that yesterday was (My Digital Studio) Tuesday, so I'm going to make up for it now.
Here's a fun page I did of photographs from last Christmas of our family - cousins and some of their "significant others". I LOVE ALL MY NIECES AND NEPHEWS SO MUCH! See how much fun they are? My niece's husband, John, dressed up as Santa - crazy guy! It was so much fun! Hope you enjoy seeing this page as much as I had making it and sharing it with all of you here.
Here's another lovely ornament made using the Ornament Keepsake Bundle (w - 129949 c - 129950) from the Holiday Catalog. The main base was made using our Simply Scored Tool, which I LOVE!
So, I was thinking... As you know, yesterday I shared (reluctantly, I might add) my very first "unedited", "amateur-ish", "generic" video tutorial, here and on YouTube. My goal is to perfect my "video teaching and making skills" and plan on posting more and more in the coming year. If there's anything in particular you would like to see from me, please don't hesitate to let me know. Just write your suggestions in the comment section below. Anything you might have to offer will be greatly appreciated. Let me help you with all your stamping and paper crafting needs!
For quite sometime now I've been wanting to start doing video tutorials to post on to YouTube. However, everytime I started to do one I was just not happy with how awkward I felt about doing them and how they were turning out. I'm very much an ameatur (as you will soon find out) when it comes to these kinds of things. I constantly heard from others, "You just have to do it. Don't worry about perfection, otherwise you'll never get started." So, at the risk of being riticuled, I made the decision to listen to what I'd been told and just went ahead and did it.
It's a tutorial on the basic construction of how to make what I call, "Drink Packet Slider Cards". As you'll see, it will be just that, "basic", in both the instruction on how to construct the cards as well as the actual video itself. No fancy intro with music, no written captions, no bells and whistles. All that will have to come in time. So, with no futher ado...
Here's the "world primer" of the "Stamping Year-Round" channel on YouTube, "staring" yours truly. (smile!)
I'm really going to miss the Holiday Catalog when it'll no longer be available. The last day to order from it will be on January 2, 2012. There are a few products that are in there that are going to be carried over into the Spring Catalog, but one of my all time favorite sets is not included on that list. Do you want to know which one it is? It's the Ornament Keepsakes (w - 128048 c - 128051) stamp set. The coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits (127816) die set is on the list though. My suggestion is to get them BOTH NOW while you still can in the "bundle" (w - 129949 c - 129950). By doing so, you'll get more for your money with at 15% savings.
You may remember this ornament that I shared from MY OCTOBER 12th POST. Check that post out for more views.
Here's another one I did with one of the ornament designs from that set, this time in the Gumball Green color.
I have yet another one I'll be sharing with all of you. So, stay tuned and come back again in a few days, for that one. But, for now, here's wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Make it a good one everybody!
