A FUN FOLD VIDEO TUTORIAL - MY LATEST ON YOUTUBE

You are going to love this tutorial  I learned how to make this fun fold, probably about 25 years ago.  Yes, I know, I'm old.  Ha! Ha!  Anyway, at the time they called it an "Explosion Card".  However, with respect to unfortunate events both in the past years as well as more recently, I've decided to give it my own name.  I'm going to rename it to be called my, "Open Surprise Card". 

Just watch this video to see just what I'm talking about.

Last week I introduced to you who will become my God daughter and God son, Jen and her fience' Joe for their wedding coming up this September.  It's a Filipino tradition and they have asked both my husband and me to be their God parents and we are so honored. 

I love this picture of them, so of course, I just had to make it into a lovely digital scrapbook page with My Digital Studio.

STAMPIN' UP!'S SWALLOWTAIL BUTTERFLY

I love the Swallowtail (w - 129213   c - 129216) stamp in the Spring Catalog, don't you?  It's a "huge" single stamp.  I love that even if you don't stamp the full image, as on the cards below, how beautiful it still is.  Just take a look at the detail!

So, which color do you like better?  The one on the left is in Soft Suede Classic Ink (126978) stamped on Crumb Cake Cardstock (125318) and the one on the right, obviously in Black, stamped with Jet Black StazOn (101406) ink on Whisper White (100730) cardstock.  Don't you just love the stamp I used for the background.  It's the Parlor Prints (122525) large single stamp.

Goes to show how by using the exact same stamps, but changing them up with different colors and / or embellishments, how different you can make them look.  I also used the "Thank You" stamp from the A Round Array promotional offer going on right now.

MIXED BLOSSOM BOUQUET REVISITED

Thought I would revisit another project for those of you new to my blog of this fun gift idea made with the Mixed Blossom stamp set.

This was a fun project I made a year ago this month.

Yes, that's a soup can covered with DSP and yes, that's the same flower stamped from the Mixed Blossom stamp set as in the previous post and yes, the flowers were punched out with the Blossom Punch also featured in the previous post, and those are "Rolo's" candy in the center of the stamped flowers.  LOL

MY DIGITAL STUDIO TUESDAY ON A WEDNESDAY

So I'm about 1 1/2 hours late from posting this in time to still be able to say it's still "Tuesday".  (It's currently just after 1:30 a.m. Wed.)  Yes, I'm a night owl.  That's okay, because as they say, "Better late than never"! I want to start with a little story...  Once upon a time, about 3 1/2 years ago or so, a sweet young lady was looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and found me.  We (my husband and I) had, at the time recently moved back to California from Nevada, so I was thrilled!  Her name was Hazel.  Hazel then introduced me to a best friend of hers by the name of Jen.  They both became not just great clients of mine, but even more importantly became more like FAMILY! To make a long story short, when we first met, Jen was still single.  And now she's going to be getting married to Joe.  My husband and I have been given the honor to be their Godparents (Filipino tradition) for their wedding this coming September. Because she's so special and has become like a daughter to us, of course I offered to help with her wedding plans which includes making her "Save the Date" announcements and wedding invitations, to start. Here's the "Save the Date" cards, made with My Digital Studio and printed from Stampin' Up!'s MDS printing service. They're going to have a vintage themed wedding, which was captured in both the photographs as well as the designs used on this card. Jen, Joe and some of the gals who are going to be part of their wedding party came over this past Saturday when we got together for "round one" of making the wedding invitations.  They loved that they got the chance to be creative with some of our fun Stampin' Up! products.  I'll share the finished product at a later date. STAMPIN' UP'S DISCONTINUED LIST

Got 'cha!  Did you think from this title that Stampin' Up!'s discontinued list was out already?  No, not yet, but it will be on April 24th, just over a week from now.

So, I'm going to do another "revisit" of this "Flip Flop" album I made 3 years ago.  "Flip Flop" as in the pages "flip flop" when you open it up and not the shoes. 

Why am I showing this when the Designer Paper used is no longer even available, you ask?  Well, for one thing, it makes me think of our upcoming trip to Fiji at the end of the month.  I had made this album of our vacation in the Philippines in March of 2010.  But, the other reason why I thought I'd re-post it is because Stampin' Up!'s discontinued (or "retirement") list will be out soon and I want to be sure that you all will keep in mind that once items on the list become "sold out", it will be exactly that and will no longer be available, thereafter.  Just as with the Designer Series Paper used on this album.

I am loving my "quick and easy" cards.  Here's yet another one made using the Lacy & Lovely ( w - 122885   c - 1222887) Stamp Set.

Seriously...  Can stamping get any easier than this?  I used colors out of the Brights Designer Buttons (119747).  Just look at our great coordination colors in not just inks and cardstock, but the buttons as well.  Just one of the great advantages of using Stampin' Up! products.

These buttons are so "yummy" in real life.  If you could only touch and feel this picture of them.  They almost look like candy.   They also come in the following color groups:
